8AM KEYNOTE: NEW WI SCIENCE STANDARDS
The state of WI has released the new science standards for implementation in the spring. Kevin Anderson from the DPI will take time to explore the implications and discuss how to prepare our school districts. Emphasis will be placed on the Science Exam.

The exam requires literacy strategies which enable students to read, analyze, and answer the questions at a proficient level.
AM/PM BREAKOUTS: FOSS/DOTS
FOSS Breakout #1 - The FOSS team 6th Grade Kit/AM and K-2 kit/PM.
FOSS Breakout #2 - The SDLAX team will lead a FOSS workshop using 3-5 Kit AM/PM.
DOTS Breakout - The Upham Woods Team will lead a DOTS kit/citizen science STEM session (all levels)
LUNCH KEYNOTE: FOSS/UWL
The FOSS team will overview their current role in science education of our region and the relationship their kits have to STEM and student achievement.
The UW-L team will overview a literacy based Master of Education program that combines STEM, Cultural Literacy and Adventure
Base Best Practice strategies for science.
